AAP calls for investigation into DDCA mismanagement

CBI raids on Delhi secretaria to probe Rajinder Kumar IAS of 1989 batch cadre and an IIT Delhi alumnus has unsettled long standing disputes and corruption in running Delhi Cricket Association DDCA.

CBI has raided Mr Rajinder Kumar's residences as well several other places according to news reports.

But Aam Aadmi Party AAP which won Delhi elections in 2015 with a landslide margin has cried foul and alleges that the raids were carried out at the behest of Union Government.

There has been disagreements between Aam Aadmi Party and the Central Government led by Bharatiya Jana Party BJP over appointment of secretaries to the office of Delhi secretariat, with Union Government contesting State Govt's claim that LG extends his constitutional powers for the selection of appointments of Corruption Bureau offices as well as the Delhi Police appointments and administration.

Now Aad Aadmi Party has addresseed a press conference and has alleged corruption in Delhi Cricket Association offices. But the press raised the question that why is this being raised now.

Countering this question AAP says that Centre is not letting the State Government to carry out the Corruption cases since that department is directly by the Central Government as with other departments since Delhi is the Union Territory where Lieutenant General has powers under the Constitution of India.
